Marlene Berg, MUP, is Associate Director for Training at the Institute for Community Research. A co-founder of the Institute, Marlene has served as an Investigator and Project Director on several federally funded research and demonstration studies at ICR, including Urban Women Against Substance Abuse and Youth Action Research for Prevention. She has trained staff, teachers, community residents, college students and youth in participatory research methods in the United States and in India. Marlene’s research interests include prevention, education, and economic development, as well as using Participatory Action Research for social change.
